What you will do
- Lead and manage a team of social workers, ensuring effective handling of referrals, assessments, and safeguarding interventions.
- Facilitate the delivery of statutory duties, including Child in Need (Section 17) and Child Protection (Section 47) processes.
- Provide supervision, performance management, and professional development to staff, fostering high standards of practice.
- Oversee and quality assure assessments, care plans, and reports, ensuring compliance with legislation and local procedures.
Qualifications
- Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent)
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Management or leadership qualification (desirable)
Registration & Compliance
- Registered with Social Work England
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks: Children Act 1989 and 2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, Public Law Outline (PLO)
- Enhanced DBS clearance
