Thank you for your interest in undertaking a voluntary role in governance at Hopescourt School. We are seeking to strengthen the range of skills and experience within our governing body. Experience in education is welcomed, but not essential. About Hopescourt School

Hopescourt School is an all-through specialist school in Walton-on-Thames, and a proud member of Bourne Education Trust. Hopescourt supports children with Autism and related communication and interaction needs.

Since opening in 2024, Hopescourt has grown into a school where learners exceed expectations. We believe no child should ever have a glass ceiling placed on them. Every learner deserves the opportunity to succeed, and our mission is to break down barriers and prepare them for life beyond school.

Responsibilities and Commitments

• Attending full LGC meetings (6 per year)
• Potentially serving on review panels (as required)
• Completing any training relevant to the role
• Termly monitoring visits, to take place during the school day
