Warehouse Shift Manager

We’re looking for a Shift Manager to join our GXO team at Avonmouth, supporting our operation. In this role, you’ll lead and develop your team, drive operational performance, and ensure our customers receive a first‑class service every day.

This is a full‑time, permanent position, working 3 on 3 off, 06:00 – 18:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Lead operational activities to achieve and exceed KPI targets and customer expectations
• Ensure Health & Safety and Environmental standards are maintained across the shift
• Manage daily resource planning, work allocation, headcount, downtime and performance
• Drive continuous improvement and eliminate waste through effective processes
• Conduct investigations, disciplinary meetings, and support grievance resolution

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Experience in a similar managerial role within warehousing or logistics
• Strong people‑management skills with the ability to lead, coach and develop teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload effectively
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
