Job Details
Location: Bicester, Oxfordshire. Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 basic per annum plus bonus up to £4,000. Hours: 44.5 hours per week across three alternating shifts Monday to Friday: 7:00am to 4:00pm, 8:00am to 5:00pm, 9:00am to 6:00pm, plus one third Saturday mornings 8:00am to noon.

Responsibilities
- Deal with customer needs face‑to‑face and over the phone with a professional and friendly approach.
- Work in Progress (WIP) control for the workshop.
- MOT and service scheduling.
- Update customers with vehicle progress, monitor all work to ensure it is completed by the required times and report any likely delays to the customer.
- Clarify for the customer and workshop the basis for the repair – Retail, Warranty or Contract.
- Promote additional workshop services/repairs where applicable.
- Identify and add parts to WIPs.
- Check account details and level of credit left, obtain authorisation and order numbers from customers.
- Ensure parts are ordered/requisitioned once relevant authority is received.
- Inform customer of outstanding campaigns and arrange for work to be completed.
- Maintain the customer reception area to a high professional standard at all times.
- Order/arrange sub‑contract work.
- Assist and develop parts sales with the objective of meeting relevant targets.
- Cost completed work and raise invoices.
- Account for all cash, cheques etc. received and ensure that all work done and parts used are charged to appropriate accounts.
- Build rapport with all staff and customers.
- Maintain vehicle history and service records in an accurate, efficient and timely manner in line with customer requirements and operator licence standards.
- Maintain invoice filing in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure up‑to‑date knowledge and training on all franchise requirements.
- Undertake such other tasks as may reasonably be required.
- Enhance the image and reputation of the company whilst supporting its commercial interests.
- Comply with good health and safety practice, all statutory requirements, company policies and standard procedures.
