NIHL Team Leader

Responsibilities
- Lead the team to meet objectives and deliver work standards as agreed in the client’s SLA, while maintaining commercial benefit to TMS.
- Provide supervision, training, and technical support to the team.
- Maintain a small caseload of pre-litigated NIHL matters.
- Plan and distribute workload across the team, paying appropriate attention to each team member’s current capability, to ensure timely and profitable completion of cases.
- Deal with the client’s MI requirements.
- Ensure the team has adequate technical support and training.
- Ensure compliance with benchmarks set by TMS and clients, whilst driving settlement and ensuring quality of delivery.
- Identify and implement appropriate learning activities to achieve appropriate authority levels and support ongoing development of all team members.
- Communicate effectively with the team.
- Act as the first point of contact for client complaints, taking action to resolve issues swiftly and effectively.
- Complete projects and process updates to improve current operating practices or address specific client issues.
Requirements
Essential
- Experience in the file handling of disease claims, specifically NIHL.
- Technical sign‑off on NIHL matters.
- Proficient in all stages of the handling process of disease claims.
- Experience in people management.
- Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel, and experience using a Case/Claims Management system.
- Experience of successfully leading a project or a team to deliver on outcomes in the insurance/legal sector.
- Experience of developing others through identifying learning requirements, gaps, and formulating plans to improve performance/capability.
Desirable
- Awareness and understanding of file‑handing processes for other disease claims such as HAVS, Mesothelioma, NFCI or other disease claims.
