Forklift Operative/Warehouse | Newtownards | £12.97+p/h (Days)

Staffline Ireland is currently seeking a dayshift forklift/warehouse operative to join our client, a leading dairy manufacturer, on an initial temporary basis at their site in Newtownards.

Role:

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor you will be responsible for the movement of goods withing a busy distribution warehouse.

Duties:

• Forklift Driving.
• Shunting duties (once trained)
• Loading of products onto various
• Preparing orders for despatch.
• Checking products for defects.
• Reporting breakdowns, spillages, quality control issues.

Criteria:

• Valid counterbalance forklift licence.
• Full driving licence (required for shunter training)
• Previous experience working nightshift positions preferred.
• Previous warehouse/production experience preferred.

Hours of work:

• Earlies 6am - 2pm
• Lates 2pm - 10pm
• Shifts rotate weekly between earlies and lates

Rate of pay:

• £12.97 per hour
• Overtime paid after 37 hours.
• Additional £1.67p/h for every hour shunting (when trained)
• Further shift premium added in recognition of working late shifts
