Site Manager - Civil Engineering

Perm Salary - £50k - £60k • CIS - £260 - £300 per day

I'm working exclusively with a civil engineering and groundworks contractor with a number of schemes throughout Yorkshire to recruit an experienced Groundworks Site Manager for a new residential development starting in April, May and June.

They have a strong reputation across the region for delivering quality groundworks packages, and with a healthy pipeline of work ahead, this is a great opportunity for someone looking for long-term stability with a respected contractor.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all groundworks operations on a busy new-build housing site
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, and coordinate plant and material deliveries
• Ensure works are completed safely, on programme, and to high-quality standards
• Keep accurate records and report progress, challenges, and updates to senior management
• Build strong working relationships with the client, housebuilder, and internal teams

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience managing groundworks packages on residential developments
• SMSTS and CSCS are essential
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to manage programme, logistics, and site safety effectively
