Business Development Manager – Freight & Logistics (Road + Sea)
Salary: £50,000 – £80,000 plus car allowance or company vehicle + bonus + benefits. Working arrangement: hybrid / field based.

The Role
- Field‑based sales position with regular office interaction (Mon‑Fri, 8:00‑17:00)
- Focus on winning new business across road freight, with a key objective to develop sea freight (import & export)
- Full autonomy to build and grow your pipeline
- Targeting SMEs through to larger enterprise customers
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities within road and sea freight markets
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
- Represent the company at industry events and trade shows
- Collaborate closely with logistics, warehousing and customs teams to deliver integrated solutions
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven success as a business development manager in the freight & logistics sector, particularly road freight
- Strong commercial instinct and closing ability
- Experience in road freight essential; sea freight highly desirable
- Credible, driven, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Self‑motivated with a strong entrepreneurial spirit
