Job Title: Children’s Residential Carer (Residential Care Officer Level 1)

Salary: £30,024 to £32,597

Working Pattern: Full time, permanent, rota‑based shifts including sleeping‑in duties

Location: Eastgate Children’s Home, Sleaford

About the Role

As a Children’s Residential Carer (known locally as a Residential Care Officer Level 1), no two days are the same. You will work with children and young people to prepare them for an independent life and support them within a multidisciplinary team.

• Holistic Approach: Work within multidisciplinary teams to meet the needs of children.

Shift Pattern: Full time, permanent, with a rota split between different shifts; some shifts include sleeping at the home. Rota’s are given in advance to ensure work/life balance.

About You

No prior professional care experience is required. The qualities we seek include:

• Passion for welfare: Advocacy for children’s wellbeing.
• Boundary setting: Establishing boundaries gently but firmly.
• Qualifications and skills: Basic IT skills and knowledge or experience in the caring profession; willingness to obtain a QCF qualification in working with children.

A driving licence is desirable but negotiable for some of the homes.
