We are looking for an experienced, values based and motivated Brokerage Team Leader with integrity, confidence and compassion to lead and oversee the day to day delivery of brokerage services within the Start Well (0-25) area of the service. You will thrive in a fast paced, pressured environment, bringing clear decision making, strong communication and a calm, supportive leadership style. This is a key leadership role, ensuring that individuals, families and operational teams receive high quality, personalised and cost effective health, education and social care packages that are safe, timely and sustainable. You'll build trusted relationships across services, confidently negotiate and influence, and use data and insight to drive high quality, value for money outcomes. Above all, you will lead by example championing Oxfordshire County Council's values, supporting your team to perform at their best, and keeping people and outcomes at the heart of everything you do.
This role provides day to day oversight and management within the le service area, managing and developing a team of Brokerage Officers and Assistant Brokerage Officers.You will quality assure referrals and oversee the sourcing, negotiation and placement of care packages, balancingindividualneed, service pressures and value for money.You will alsosupportthe management of operational risks and budgets, maintaining service capability through periods of change.
Working closely with internal colleagues, providers and key stakeholders, you will strengthen cross service working, resolve complex issues and improvedecision making.You will contribute to service redesign, commissioning improvements and strategic projects, using data and insight to drive continuous improvement.
will ensure robust contract governance, accurate data management and effective reporting, maintaining high standards of safeguarding and compliance with legislation and Council policies.
We are looking for someone with proven experience of leading or supervising teams within health, education or social care environments. You will bring a strongunderstandingof brokerage, commissioning or placement processes, with a clear focus on achieving quality outcomes and value for money.
You will beconfidentworking with a wide range of internal teams, providers and stakeholders, and able to manage complex decisions, risk and competing priorities in a fast paced environment.You will demonstrate a strongcommitmentto person centred practice, safeguarding and equality, alongside well developed communication, negotiation and problem solving skills. You will also be able to use data and insight effectively tosupportsounddecision making and drive service improvement.
