Key Account Development Manager
We are currently seeking a Key Account Development Manager to join our team and begin a rewarding career with us. In this role, you will proactively manage a portfolio of strategic customers, all of whom are critical to supporting our heavy vehicle business.
You will be responsible for planning, developing, and delivering measurable strategic account plans within the heavy vehicle portfolio, maximising value for both Tructyre and the customer.
Key Responsibilities as a Key Account Development Manager:
- Build, manage, implement, measure, and own the commercial strategic account plan for the account, ensuring all initiatives are profit enhancing and deliverable for Tructyre.
- Own and understand the sales and profitability of the portfolio along with the development and management of the future pipeline.
- Identify, develop, present, and implement added value initiatives, both internally and to the customer.
- Develop and then maintain effective and regular communication channels in the customer’s business in line with a multi-level contact strategy including building strong relationships at senior level.
- Have a high visibility and build and maintain effective working relationships with all colleagues and departments across the Tructyre regional and central structures. This should include (but are not limited to): Operations, Regional Sales, Administration and Finance/Credit Control.
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of customer complaints and strive to maximise internal and external customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Manage the cash flow and debt levels of the portfolio, ensuring they are within the agreed tolerances.
Requirements for a Key Account Development Manager:
- Full valid UK driver's licence as this is a national role covering the UK
- Proven background within the tyre industry, with strong technical and sales knowledge of tyres.
- Experience working in a business-to-business service environment, managing key customer relationships.
- Builds strong, long-lasting relationships and consistently delivers excellent service to key accounts.
- Meets and exceeds sales, revenue, and performance targets.
- Develops and executes clear, measurable account plans to drive growth and customer value.
- Establishes effective internal and external networks, influences decision-makers, and secures commitment through negotiation.
- Understands market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities to maximise profitability.
- Communicates clearly and confidently with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
- Uses data and insight to identify issues, trends, and business opportunities.
- Manages time, priorities, and resources effectively, while staying informed on industry developments.
