We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Factory Supervisor to oversee daily sheet metal manufacturing operations within our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production teams, ensuring safety standards are maintained, and optimising operational efficiency. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet quality and efficiency targets.
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of factory operatives, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety regulations.
- Monitor production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions.
- Manage resource allocation, including labour scheduling and equipment utilisation, to optimise productivity.
- Enforce quality control procedures to guarantee products meet specified standards.
- Facilitate communication between management, staff, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
Experience
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or factory environment.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to industrial settings.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and conflict resolution.
- Experience working with Sheet Metal. An understanding of different sheet metal processes (ie welding, folding etc.)
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, in British English. Candidates should possess a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to fostering a safe and productive workplace environment. Previous experience in process optimisation or lean manufacturing principles would be considered beneficial.
