We are looking for a passionate and experienced Gymnastics Co‑ordinator to lead and develop our gymnastics programme at GL1 Leisure Centre. This is a hands‑on leadership role combining coaching, programme development and team management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and mentor a team of gymnastics coaches
- Plan, deliver and oversee high quality recreational and competitive gymnastics sessions
- Create a safe, inclusive and progressive training environment
- Monitor gymnast development and provide constructive feedback
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and risk assessment procedures are followed
- Manage gymnastics administration including class schedules, coach rotas, attendance, re-enrolments and parent communication
- Coordinate classes, events and competitions and liaise with third party hirers
- Recruit, train and develop gymnastics coaches and support staff
- Conduct performance reviews and support ongoing staff development
- Track KPIs and report on programme performance and growth
- Work closely with the General Manager and wider leadership teams
Hours: 15 hours per week, Monday - Sunday (rota basis)
Required Qualifications
- Level 2 Gymnastics Coaching Qualification
- Proven experience coaching recreational and/or competitive gymnasts
- Experience managing workloads and working in a leisure environment
- Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Up to date Safeguarding, First Aid and DBS clearance or willingness to obtain
Desirable
- Level 3 Gymnastics Coaching Qualification
- Previous leadership or head coach experience
- Programme management and staff management experienceBudget, invoicing or sales knowledge
- Confident IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
