Position Overview
We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and proactive Assistant Store Manager to join our Partner Store in Blackbrook adjacent to Head Office near Newcastle Under Lyme. As Store Deputy, you will actively support with store management and decision making, maintaining clear lines of communication throughout the store. You will motivate the team through effective leadership and make sure outstanding customer service and operational excellence is constantly achieved. The ideal candidate will have relevant people management skills and experience and be able to build strong relationships at all business levels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager to drive sales, achieve KPI targets and execute store operations to the highest standards.
- Manage the merchandising of all products onto the shop floor and implement window and internal displays.
- Responsible for all store operations and team performance in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Drive commercial excellence reinforcing and delivering high standards of customer service.
- Act as brand ambassador ensuring you and the team keep up to date with all new products and services.
- Lead, train and develop your team to maximise their potential and create a culture to ensure the customer is at the centre of everything we do.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in a similar retail supervisory role.
- Strong minded with an authoritative nature.
- Excellent people management skills.
- Commercial awareness.
- Ability to deal with customer disputes, as well as complaints, not afraid of confrontation.
- Capable of working under pressure.
- Ability to foster teamwork and keep morale high.
- Attention to small details.
- Ability to help educate and assist with the growth of others.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Keen interest in visual merchandising and fashion.
- Flexibility on working hours is essential.
