Role Overview - Key Context
- UK-based role, with regular collaboration across teams in Manchester and Amsterdam
- Part of two major programmes:
- A wider modernisation programme
- A SAP RISE migration
- 18-month programme, with go-live expected in ~12 months
- Brand-new squad being formed (approx. 7 people) focused on building a financial data pipeline
What the Team Is Doing
- Building and testing data pipelines and contracts for financial data
- Defining how data flows from SAP ECC into SAP RISE (interim approach)
- This is the last business area still on SAP ECC
- Not a full ECC decommission yet - this phase is about:
- Testing data flows
- Defining contracts
- Ensuring accuracy and data quality before full migration
- Data quality, controls, and ownership are a big focus
- First time the organisation has gone into this level of detail on these flows
Why They Need This Role
- The team has been missing Business Analysts to provide:
- Clear artefacts
- Data contracts
- End-to-end requirements
- They need someone to work closely with the SAP RISE squad to:
- Understand financial SAP data
- Define current vs future-state processes
- Manage requirements back and forth across teams
- This role is critical to getting the work ready for development
Ideal Profile
- Must have SAP migration experience (non-negotiable)
- Strong experience with data-driven projects
- Pipeline and data-flow experience is essential
- Clear understanding of what is critical in financial data flows
- Able to understand the wider programme, not just isolated tasks
- Very strong ability to work independently
- Comfortable owning a problem end-to-end, then presenting findings back
- Experience working with incomplete information in a brand-new squad
Ways of Working
- Works closely with a Senior Product Manager
- Expected to:
- Understand the problem independently
- Go away and analyse
- Come back with structured outputs and recommendations
- Needs to collaborate with teams across Manchester and Amsterdam
- Travel to Manchester expected (also possibly Amsterdam for workshops)
