SHS Family Support Practitioner (School-Based) – Trinity Academy, 56 Brixton Hill, London SW2 1QS.
Hours: 5 days per week, Term Time Only + inset days.
Salary: £25,003- £27,525 per annum (This role is term‑time only; the salary is in line with working weeks).
Closing date: 14/05/26.
Responsibilities
As the Family Support Practitioner, you will be based at the setting and work in close partnership with school staff to deliver a programme of casework to promote and improve educational outcomes for the children and their families. You will also focus your support to help improve attendance, punctuality and engagement in learning.
Essential Criteria
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate with a wide group of people.
- Previous experience of working in an education setting or similar to improve a child's school attendance and engagement in learning.
- Experience in working and engaging with parents/carers, children or individuals through individual and/or group-based support.
- Knowledge of factors affecting a child's capacity to learn.
- Experience working with families from diverse communities.
- Understanding of holistic family support.
- Knowledge of safeguarding processes and referral routes for safeguarding children.
