SHS Family Support Practitioner (School‑Based)

Location: Trinity Academy -Future Academies - 56 Brixton Hill, London SW2 1QS

Hours: 5 days per week, Term Time Only + inset days

Salary: £25,003‑£27,525 per annum (term time only; salary in line with working weeks)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Family Support Practitioner to join our team and make a difference in children’s lives every single day. You will be based at the setting and work in close partnership with school staff to deliver a programme of casework to promote and improve educational outcomes for the children and their families. You will also focus on improving attendance, punctuality and engagement in learning.

Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills and a proven ability to communicate with a wide group of people are essential.

Essential Experience

• Working in an education setting or similar to improve a child’s school attendance and engagement in learning.
• Working and engaging with parents/carers, children or individuals through individual and/or group‑based support.
• Understanding factors affecting a child’s capacity to learn.
• Working with families from diverse communities.
• Holistic family support.
• Knowledge of safeguarding processes and referral routes for safeguarding children.
