Interim Technical Consultant – Immediate Start (Day Rate Contract)
Haywood & Padgett Ltd are seeking an experienced Interim Technical Consultant to support our Technical team during a busy period, with a strong focus on audit readiness and continuous improvement.
As a leading manufacturer of traditional English scones, we operate in a fast-paced, high-quality food production environment and are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and add value from day one.
This is a day rate contract position, suited to a self-employed technical professional, offering a competitive day rate.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct gap analysis against food safety and quality standards
- Lead and support corrective and preventative actions (CAPA)
- Carry out root cause analysis on technical and quality issues
- Support and strengthen audit readiness (including BRC and customer audits)
- Assist with implementation and improvement of technical procedures and systems
- Provide hands‑on technical support across the site
About You
- Proven background in food manufacturing technical roles (essential)
- Strong knowledge of BRC and audit standards
- Experience working in fast‑paced production environments
- Confident working independently and driving improvements
- Practical, solutions‑focused approach
- Immediately available or available at short notice
