Vice Principal Quality and Curriculum

Lakes College is situated in the heart of West Cumbria and comprises a general further education college and a sixth form centre. With over 5,500 students, the college offers a range of programmes including apprenticeships and flexible learning.

We are seeking a Vice Principal Quality and Curriculum to be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team. The successful candidate will lead and shape the curriculum vision, quality operating models, and be accountable for planning and delivery of excellence in education and skills across the College.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing the curriculum strategy to support the college’s strategic purpose.
• Leading the quality assurance processes and ensuring consistent high standards across all programmes.
• Collaborating with partner institutions to promote innovation in teaching and learning.
• Championing continuous improvement and driving outcomes for learners.

Qualifications and experience needed:

• Extensive experience in a senior leadership role within further education.
• Strong track record of curriculum development and quality assurance.
• Ability to set high expectations, inspire colleagues and manage change.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Integrity, strategic thinking, and a clear vision.
