We are currently seeking an experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist to support an established NHS service.
This role requires a confident and autonomous consultant with strong experience in both gastroenterology and endoscopy, able to contribute fully to outpatient, inpatient, and procedural services.
About the Role
- Deliver consultant-led gastroenterology outpatient clinics
- Provide specialist input for inpatients with complex GI conditions
- Perform and independently report diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures
- Participate in MDT meetings and contribute to service development
- Apply evidence-based practice to ensure high-quality patient care
- Full GMC registration with Licence to Practise
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Gastroenterology (or within 6 months of CCT, if substantive)
- Significant experience in upper and lower GI endoscopy
- Ability to work independently at consultant level
- Strong clinical judgement and communication skills
- Experience in advanced endoscopy procedures
