An experienced and visionary Principal is sought to lead a specialist SEN school in Slough that supports young people aged 16‑25 with a range of additional needs. The role is pivotal in driving outcomes in a further education setting and preparing learners for adulthood, independence and employment.

The Role

As Principal, you will provide strategic leadership, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning and care across the provision. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, oversee curriculum development tailored to post‑16 learners and ensure compliance with all regulatory and safeguarding requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall direction and performance of the school
• Drive high‑quality teaching and learning within an SEN further education setting
• Develop and implement a relevant and aspirational post‑16 curriculum
• Promote positive outcomes in independence, employability and life skills
• Manage staff performance, development and wellbeing
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers, local authorities and external agencies

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience within SEN education
• Strong background in further education (FE) or post‑16 provision
• In‑depth understanding of EHCPs and statutory frameworks
• Demonstrable ability to improve outcomes for learners with additional needs
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
