Economic Development Team Leader (P01442)
Starting salary £46,376, progressing to £49,608 through annual increments subject to satisfactory service (inclusive of outer fringe allowance). 37 hours per week (hybrid). Permanent contract.
Role Overview
We’re looking for an ambitious, forward‑thinking leader to spearhead initiatives that drive growth, attract investment, and strengthen our local economy. This key leadership role will shape the economic future of the area by working with stakeholders to deliver sustainable development and create opportunities for businesses and residents.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of the Council’s new Economic Development Strategy.
- Identify opportunities, build a strong project pipeline, and ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
- Support businesses, forge partnerships across the public and private sectors, and drive projects that stimulate growth and innovation.
Qualifications
- Good understanding of the commercial development industry and statutory regulations around economic development.
- Experience leading a team and working collaboratively with external partners.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to present to various audiences.
- Ability to converse at ease with members of the public in accurate spoken English.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
