The opportunity
Join our Deal Finance team within the Strategy and Execution practice. This rapidly growing team focuses on transactions, supporting clients throughout the capital lifecycle, and is expanding to provide exciting opportunities for those dedicated to delivering client value.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Assist in business origination, including pitches and presentations to sell work and operate in a transaction environment with tight M&A timeframes and demands.
- Lead core aspects of client delivery, ensuring the team is led and the engagement partner is supported.
- Advise on the impact of merger and acquisition transactions on the finance function and CFO priorities.
- Advise on integration challenges, separation challenges, and changes in ownership (public to private and vice versa).
- Provide analysis and advisory across the deal lifecycle, focusing on operational due diligence and value creation, including P&L optimisation, maturity assessments and designing models for scale and cost‑out.
Qualifications
- Extensive broad experience in transactions/finance as a consultant with a Big 4 or management consultancy firm; industry finance experience (FP&A, Financial Control, Commercial/Operational Finance Business Partnering, CFO) considered.
- Qualified accountant – ACA, CIMA or internationally recognised equivalent finance qualification.
- Strong academics and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrable analytical skills.
- Experience of being a change agent in previous roles.
