Base: St Helier Hospital, Wrythe Lane, Carshalton, Sutton, London. Contract: Fixed term locum. Tenure and start date: 22 Jul 2026 to 21 Jan 2027. Post and specialty: Consultant Psychiatrist. This is an established post. Base: St Helier Hospital, Wrythe Lane, Carshalton, Sutton, London. Contract: Full time fixed term locum 10 PA (DCC 7.5 PA, SPA 2.5 PA).

Tenure and Start Date: Fixed term locum – 22 Jul 2026 to 21 Jan 2027.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership to the St Helier Hospital Liaison Psychiatry Team.
• Work closely with the Team Manager to ensure a safe, efficient and effective service that meets the Trust’s Key Performance Indicators.
• Participate in systems of audit and clinical governance; work to resolve problems on own initiative; escalate concerns to the team manager and others when unresolved.

About the Role

The Consultant shares responsibility with the team manager and other team members to ensure care delivered by the team is safe and of a good standard. While individual clinicians are responsible for their own clinical care, the consultant contributes to the team's overall governance and quality assurance.
