Owen Daniels are supporting a well-established engineering and manufacturing business that, due to continued growth within their Field Service division, is looking to appoint a Field Service Engineer. This is a customer-facing, hands‑on role where you'll be at the frontline of the business, delivering high standards of service and technical support across critical environments.
Field Service Engineer Job Description
- Deliver high-quality technical support and customer service across the company's full product range.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems in the field.
- Identify and report product faults, early failures, and corrective actions.
- Improve efficiency through high first‑time fix rates and reduced return visits.
- Work closely with internal teams to improve service performance and customer satisfaction.
Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications
- Experience in a field service or technical support role.
- Experience working with fire alarm systems and/or CCTV systems.
- Customer‑facing experience with a strong service‑driven mindset.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and communication systems.
- Full UK driving licence and eligibility for DBS clearance.
