Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring content is challenging, accessible, and relevant.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports excellent behaviour and active participation.
• Assess and track student progress, using data to refine teaching approaches and provide targeted support.
• Encourage analytical thinking, geographical enquiry, and real-world connections through creative teaching.
• Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and whole-school initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding progress and learning needs.
• Take part in school events, meetings, and ongoing professional development.

Person Specification

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching Geography at secondary level.
• Strong understanding of the Geography curriculum and effective classroom practice.
• Passion for the subject, with the ability to motivate and inspire pupils of varying abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Reflective, proactive, and committed to continuous development.
