Technical Business Analyst – Reinsurance Transformation (Contract) - Hybrid

Hybrid working, with 2 days in the office and 3 from home.

We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst with strong London Market reinsurance experience to join a major transformation programme within a leading reinsurance environment.

This is a business-facing role, working closely with brokers, operations, modelling, and actuarial teams to improve core processes across treaty reinsurance. The focus is on identifying inefficiencies and delivering practical improvements through automation, AI, and better use of technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with brokers, operations, and actuarial teams to understand current workflows and identify areas for improvement
• Lead workshops to map “as-is” and “to-be” processes using clear diagrams and flow charts
• Translate business needs into structured technical requirements, including user stories and acceptance criteria
• Work closely with technology teams to support delivery of automation and AI-driven solutions
• Support UAT and ensure solutions meet business requirements
• Contribute to data mapping, transformation logic, and system integration across platforms

Required Experience

• Strong experience as a Technical Business Analyst within London Market insurance or reinsurance
• Good understanding of treaty reinsurance and broking operations
• Experience working directly with brokers and exposure to actuarial or modelling teams
• Strong process mapping skills using Visio or similar tools
• Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar

Desirable

• Experience with Eclipse or similar broking platforms
• Exposure to automation, AI, or workflow optimisation initiatives
• Experience working with third party technology vendors

The Role

This is a hands-on role in a newly formed function focused on improving how reinsurance business is processed and delivered. The environment is highly collaborative, with close interaction between business and technology teams, and a strong focus on practical, scalable solutions.
