Team Leader - Children's LD Residential Home (3 Beds, Birmingham)
Salary: £32,000 + Sleep and overtime
Contract: Full-time, permanent
We are looking for a dedicated Team Leader to support the management and daily running of our 3-bed Children's Learning Disabilities (LD) home in Birmingham. You will play a key role in ensuring a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment for children with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operation of the home.
Lead, mentor, and supervise support workers to deliver high-quality care.
Ensure all safeguarding, care plans, and behaviour support strategies are followed.
Promote independence, communication, and positive routines for each child.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and shift planning.
Build strong relationships with families, professionals, and external agencies.
Requirements
Experience in children's residential care, ideally within LD or complex needs settings.
Strong understanding of learning disabilities, autism, and communication needs.
Level 3 Children & Young People qualification (or equivalent).
Confident leadership skills and a child-centred approach.
Ability to remain calm, consistent, and solution-focused.
