Exams Officer / Exams Manager

REED Education is working in partnership with a well-established secondary school in the Welwyn Garden City area to recruit an experienced Exams Officer / Exams Manager on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a key role within the school, responsible for the effective planning, organisation and delivery of all internal and external examinations, ensuring full compliance with awarding body and JCQ regulations.
Key Information
- Location: Welwyn Garden City area
- Contract: Full-time, permanent
- Start Date: Summer Term or September start available
- Salary: £31,000 - £37,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
The Role
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of internal and external examinations
- Ensure compliance with JCQ and awarding body regulations
- Oversee exam timetables, entries, invigilation and results processes
- Act as the main point of contact for exam boards and internal stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records and examination data
- Support senior leaders with exam-related reporting and planning
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience in a similar Exams Officer or Exams Manager role within an educational setting
- Strong working knowledge of exam processes, policies and deadlines
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple exam series and work under pressure
- Confident communicator with staff, students and external bodies
