Modern Foreign Language Teacher

Veritas Education is working in partnership with a number of secondary schools in Wakefield to recruit a passionate and skilled Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated practitioner to inspire pupils and contribute to high-quality language education.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective MFL lessons (French and/or Spanish preferred) across KS3 and KS4, with potential opportunities at KS5 depending on experience. The role may be offered on a short-term, long-term, or permanent basis.

• Plan and deliver high-quality MFL lessons in line with the National Curriculum
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Assess, track, and report on pupil progress effectively
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Work collaboratively with the MFL department and wider school staff

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching MFL at secondary level (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for language learning
• Ability to motivate and engage pupils of varying abilities
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
