The Opportunity

Are you a passionate MFL Teacher looking for a long-term commitment in Barrow-in-Furness?

We are seeking a dedicated French Specialist to join a vibrant secondary school community. This is a full-time position (5 days per week) starting immediately and running through the full academic year until July 2026. This role is perfect for a teacher who thrives on continuity and wants to make a lasting impact on their pupils' linguistic development.

Your Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging French lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Plan and prepare high-quality resources that cater to a range of learning abilities.
Track pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage growth.
Maintain a positive classroom environment in line with the school's behaviour policy.
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Specialism in French (ability to teach a second language is a bonus).
Proven track record of managing a classroom effectively.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
Eligibility to work in the UK.
