REED/LTA are seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a lovely little primary school in Preston for a maternity cover position starting in September. This role offers a potential pathway to a permanent position, ideal for someone passionate about making a significant impact in children's educational journeys.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and educational lessons appropriate for Year 5 students.
- Assess and record students' progress, preparing them for the transition to the next year level.
- Create a nurturing and safe learning environment that supports students' emotional and educational needs.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff and participate in school events and activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching at the primary level, specifically Year 5 or similar.
- Strong understanding of the current curriculum and teaching methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire young learners.
