The Role
CML is seeking an experienced IT Support and Infrastructure Engineer to work alongside the Head of IT in delivering robust, secure, and scalable IT systems across the organisation.
This is a hands‑on role that combines day‑to‑day end‑user support with infrastructure development and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be a proactive self‑starter, adaptable in a dynamic engineering‑led environment, and be comfortable implementing new systems and improving existing processes.
You will play a key role in ensuring that our internal and cloud‑based systems effectively support a highly technical, multi‑disciplinary global team.
Key Responsibilities
End-User Support
- Provide responsive 1st and 2nd line IT support to employees across the organisation
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and access issues
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including provisioning of equipment and accounts
- Maintain high levels of customer service and user satisfaction
Infrastructure & Systems Management
- Support and maintain internal IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, and security systems
- Administer and support cloud platforms and SaaS environments (e.g. Microsoft 365, Azure, or equivalent)
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security
- Assist in maintaining backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes
Systems Implementation & Improvement
- Work with the Head of IT to implement new systems, tools, and infrastructure enhancements
- Contribute to IT projects, including migrations, upgrades, and security improvements
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, automation, and overall IT efficiency
- Produce and maintain clear technical documentation
Security & Compliance
- Support IT security policies, user access controls, and endpoint management
- Assist in maintaining compliance with internal and external security standards
- Contribute to proactive risk identification and mitigation
What We’re Looking For
- Solid experience in a similar IT support role (5 years+)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows desktop and server environments with Active Directory
- Experience supporting cloud‑based systems (Microsoft 365)
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals (IPv4, DNS, DHCP, VPNs)
- Experience with endpoint management and security best practices
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

- Exposure to scripting or automation (e.g. PowerShell)
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft, CompTIA, ITIL)
