Control & Instrumentation Engineer
Location: Chester
We are looking for a C&I Engineer with a background specifying or designing control systems to work with a high‑tech engineering company that offers exceptional benefits.

Responsibilities
- Provide C&I design deliverables to projects and discrete work packages in the nuclear industry.
- Produce detailed technical specifications, including equipment functional specifications and control system logic specifications.
- Create specifications and logic simulation programs for control system designs and simulation of control system performance.
- Develop specifications for control system hardware.
- Collaborate with subcontractors, checking and approving detail design drawings.
- Verify suppliers’ test specifications and attend FATs.
Location
You will be working for a global high‑tech company that designs, manufactures and installs specialist equipment within the nuclear industry.
Qualifications
- Experience specifying or designing control systems for a range of applications.
- Experience supervising the provision of design information by subcontractors.
- Knowledge of PLC hardware requirements including I/O capability, network communications and power supply requirements.
- Instrumentation design experience covering measurement range, measurement techniques, accuracy and EMC compatibility.
- Knowledge of PLC programming requirements and standards.
