Biscuit International UK are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to join our team at our Gateshead Team Valley site. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and providing an effective and efficient engineering function that supports the maximum operational effectiveness and efficiency of our site plant, equipment, and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies.
- Create and maintain asset replacement plans.
- Review and implement new concepts and process improvements.
- Ensure 100% completion of autonomous maintenance tasks.
- Optimise lean manufacturing processes and plant changeovers.
- Conduct root cause analyses to ensure KPIs are met.
- Manage Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) in collaboration with Operations.
- Oversee and report on relevant business KPIs.
- Deliver CAPEX and project management on time and within budget.
- Train and develop the engineering team, including managing team holidays and absenteeism.
- Participate in disciplinary procedures.
- Build productive working relationships across departments.
- Delegate work based on skills, performance, and development opportunities.
- Manage facilities, service contracts, and legislative procedures (e.g., fire safety, legionella).

Qualifications
- Degree or Apprenticeship trained (Essential)
