Educated Appointments are delighted to be supporting a values‑led, learner‑focused apprenticeship training provider in the recruitment of a Deputy Head of Curriculum. This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced apprenticeship professional who is ready to take the next step in their career. Whether you are currently working as a Lead Assessor, IQA, Curriculum Lead, Quality Lead or experienced delivery professional with management responsibilities, this role offers the chance to broaden your impact and play a key part in shaping high‑quality apprenticeship provision.

Our client is a growing training provider with a strong commitment to supporting learners, employers and staff to achieve their full potential. They deliver meaningful apprenticeship programmes that help people build confidence, develop practical skills and progress in their careers. As the organisation continues to grow, they are now looking for a capable, motivated and hands‑on Deputy Head of Curriculum to support the day‑to‑day leadership of delivery, quality assurance, curriculum development and team performance.

This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys being close to the detail while also contributing to the bigger picture. You will have the opportunity to influence curriculum quality, support and develop colleagues, improve learner outcomes and help ensure apprenticeship provision remains engaging, compliant and impactful.

As Deputy Head of Curriculum, you will work closely with the Head of Curriculum to support both the operational and strategic development of apprenticeship delivery. The role will involve a blend of leadership, quality assurance, curriculum improvement and direct delivery. You will provide day‑to‑day line management and support to Assessors and IQAs, helping to ensure learners receive a consistently high‑quality experience from enrolment through to End‑Point Assessment.

This is very much a hands‑on leadership role. You will be someone who is happy to support delivery where needed, model best practice, coach colleagues and help embed strong systems, processes and standards across the team.

The organisation is in an exciting stage of growth and development, so the role would suit someone who is flexible, proactive and comfortable working in a setting where ideas, initiative and practical problem‑solving are genuinely valued. You will have the chance to make a visible difference, not only to learners and employers, but also to the colleagues you support and the wider quality of provision.

You will support the Head of Curriculum in the design, review and continuous improvement of apprenticeship programmes, ensuring they are well‑sequenced, purposeful and aligned to employer needs, learner development and regulatory expectations.

A key focus of the role will be supporting curriculum review and improvement, particularly in response to apprenticeship reforms and the evolving expectations of the sector. You will help ensure curriculum intent, implementation and impact are clear, meaningful and embedded within delivery practice.

Responsibilities

This is a role with genuine variety, purpose and scope. You will not simply be maintaining existing processes. You will be helping shape and improve them. You will have the opportunity to support curriculum development, influence quality standards, strengthen team performance and contribute to the future direction of apprenticeship provision.

For the right person, this role offers an excellent platform for progression. As the organisation continues to grow, there is potential for the successful candidate to further develop their leadership responsibilities and sector influence.

You will be joining a provider that values practical experience, professional standards and positive relationships. The culture is supportive, ambitious and learner‑centred, with a clear focus on helping people succeed. This role would be ideal for someone who wants to feel trusted, involved and able to make a real contribution.
