Senior Business Analyst

Elevation Recruitment Group are partnering with a Sheffield-based organisation that has grown its BA function from one person to a team of five in a short space of time and they're now looking for an experienced Senior BA to bring consistency, structure and leadership to the team as it continues to evolve.

This is a newly created role, which means you'll have genuine scope to shape how BA practice is defined and delivered going forward.

As a Senior Business Analyst you will:

You'll manage a team of three in-house BAs (including a Junior BA) and matrix manage two third-party BAs, acting as the central point of consistency across the function. Alongside your people responsibilities, you'll lead on discovery and alpha phase activity, facilitate workshops and focus groups, and work across complex projects and programmes to translate business problems into clear, evidence-based recommendations.

Skills & Experience required:

• Extensive agile BA experience across the full software development lifecycle, ideally using Scrum
• Proven experience leading discovery and alpha phase activities
• A track record of improving or embedding BA practice - whether that's through mentoring, process improvement, or building consistency across a team
• Strong people and stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable with tools such as Jira, Confluence and Miro (desirable, not essential)
• Open to candidates from any sector - what matters is experience delivering digital services in an agile environment
