The Opportunity
We are working on behalf of a well-established, client-side property business with an international presence, seeking an ambitious
Assistant Building Surveyor who is within 6–12 months of sitting their APC. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and growing organisation offering exposure to a diverse commercial portfolio and strong support towards achieving MRICS status.
The Role
You will support the acquisition and ongoing management of a varied commercial property portfolio, working closely with senior surveyors and asset managers. The role offers hands-on experience across key sectors including industrial, retail, and office.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the acquisition of commercial properties, including due diligence and technical assessments
- Support the management of an existing portfolio, ensuring assets are maintained and compliant
- Undertake inspections, prepare reports, and advise on defects, maintenance, and refurbishment
- Assist with contract administration and project delivery
- Provide professional advice across a range of building surveying services including RCA's, TDD and Dilapidations
- Liaise with external consultants, contractors, and stakeholders
About You
- Degree-qualified in Building Surveying
- Currently working towards APC, with approximately 6–12 months remaining
- Experience within commercial property (industrial, retail, or office preferred)
- Strong technical knowledge and report writing skills
- Proactive, organised, and eager to progress within a client-side environmennt
