Marine Cargo Technician

We are working with the Head of Cargo (technical) of a highly regarded Marine Lloyd's Broker as she is looking for a Marine Cargo Technician to join her team.

Her team describe her to have a warm personality who is incredibly lovely to work with. That much so, even the ACII board ask her to sit dummy exams to make sure the exams themselves are fit for circulation!

As a Marine Cargo Technician, you want a step up in challenge. Not quite into leadership but to become a key part of an established team

You'll still produce slips, endorsements and sound broker back up support, however you'll even have opportunity for a little client facing work too which may be a nice change!

You’ll be working closely with senior brokers and leadership, contributing to the structure, presentation and execution of business, particularly on more complex and nuanced marine and marine cargo risks.

We’re looking for someone who takes real ownership of their work, someone who understands they 'why' behind the placement, not just the mechanics.

What matters here is judgement, commercial awareness and the ability to operate as a genuine second-in-command within the technical team.

On offer will be an attractive base salary up to £50,000 including health insurance, bonus and wider company benefits and you'll be part of a very collaborative team who work in an office 4 times a week
