An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Lawyer to join a highly regarded, Legal 500 and Chambers-ranked team based in St Albans. This is a senior-level appointment with flexibility around title (Principal Associate or equivalent), offering high-quality work, genuine autonomy, and a clear pathway for progression.

The Team

The Employment team is recognised for its technical excellence and strategic insight, advising a broad range of clients including:

• Senior executives
• Charities and not-for-profits
• Education providers
• Healthcare and pharmaceutical organisations
• Commercial businesses across multiple sectors

The team is known for combining day-to-day advisory work with complex litigation and strategic, board-level input.

The Role

You will play a key role in advising clients on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including:

• Employment Tribunal litigation and occasional High Court matters
• Senior executive exits and dispute resolution
• Discrimination, whistleblowing, and unfair dismissal claims
• Data protection and safeguarding issues
• TUPE transfers and large-scale restructuring projects
• Strategic advisory work to HR teams and senior stakeholders

You will also contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the team, with opportunities to be involved in business development and client relationship management.
