Senior Estimator / Estimating Manager– Internal Finishes Subcontractor

Location: Central London

Salary: £70,000 – £85,000 + Package

Our client is an established and growing internal finishes subcontractor delivering high-quality solutions across commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments throughout London. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator/Estimating Manager to join their Central London team.

The Role

As a Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction team, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for internal finishes packages for projects across the commercial fit out / major projects sectors. You will work closely with commercial and operational teams to ensure successful project acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for internal finishes packages
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents
• Manage the full tender process from enquiry through to submission
• Liaise with clients, main contractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
• Identify value engineering opportunities and risk factors
• Support bid strategy and contribute to winning new business
• Mentor junior estimators where required

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Senior Estimator within the internal finishes sector
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing
• Previous experience overseeing other members of the Estimating team.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Proficient in estimating software and Excel
