Patent Litigation Associate

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Patent Litigation Associate to join a highly ranked IP team handling complex, high-value disputes for an international client base. The role offers exposure to technically demanding work across the life sciences and technology sectors, including multi-jurisdictional litigation and strategically important advisory matters. You will work closely with experienced partners and colleagues across the wider IP group, with genuine scope to help shape the continued expansion of the patent litigation practice.

• Key Responsibilities
• Advising on patent disputes for clients operating in technically complex industries
• Working on multi-forum litigation, including UK proceedings and international matters
• Supporting clients on wider enforcement strategies and dispute resolution options
• Collaborating with Patent Attorneys, Counsel and overseas firms on cross-border matters
• Advising on non-contentious patent matters where appropriate, including licensing issues
• Contributing to practice development and engagement with the wider IP community
• Requirements
• Strong experience in patent litigation gained within a recognised IP or disputes practice
• Solid understanding of UK patent litigation and its place within global enforcement strategies
• Experience advising clients in life sciences and/or technology sectors
• Ability to manage matters proactively with a commercial and client-focused approach
• Interest in business development and supporting the growth of the practice
• Experience of, or interest in, complex patent transactions is advantageous but not essential
