Competition Associate

Sonder Consultants is working with an international firm in London on a new mandate for a Competition Associate at the 2–5 PQE level — a team with genuine breadth across the full competition spectrum and a pipeline that rarely slows.

The Role

You'll advise on a broad mix of competition work: merger control and transactional clearances, regulatory advisory, investigations, and competition litigation. Expect direct partner access, early ownership of workstreams, and exposure to complex cross-border matters from day one — the kind of practice that builds a real profile in the market, not just a CV line.

Open-Minded on Background

The team is open to candidates from pure competition backgrounds, as well as strong corporate or transactional associates looking to pivot into competition. If you've been close to merger clearance work on the deal side and want to cross over, this is a genuine route in.

What We're Looking For

• 2–5 years' PQE at a reputable UK or international firm
• Strong academics
• A clear and credible interest in building a career in competition law
• England & Wales qualified (or eligible)
