Overview
Our client, a well‑established investor and financier in IT assets and services, is seeking a Business Development Director. The role focuses on driving residual value (RV) driven fair market value IT finance deals through existing and new channel partners.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow relationships with inherited channel partners, targeting £3.5m of the £6m annual volume target.
- Identify, prospect and win new name channel partners, with an expected £2.5m of new self‑sourced business.
- Use the client’s RV pricing and digital proposal platform to build and close high‑value deals.
- Engage senior decision makers within partner organizations to articulate the benefits of RV solutions over traditional financing.
- Achieve and exceed annual volume and revenue targets.
Qualifications
- Resident within the M25 or within 20 miles; excellent new business sales and account development experience in channel‑driven IT finance.
- Proven track record of closing large, complex deals (e.g., £300,000) with partners and their customers.
- Strong networking skills with the ability to build relationships at senior levels.
- Capability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Experience in RV‑based solutions preferred; not focused on finance lease or loan sales.
Compensation
Base salary up to £80 000. OTE is capped at £150 000 in year one with commission earned on volume alone:
- 1 % commission on volume from inherited partners.
- 1.5 % commission on volume from new partners for the first 12 months, reverting to 1 % thereafter.
- Commission paid monthly, fully uncapped.
Year one on‑target earnings can reach approximately £147 500 and can grow significantly with higher volume.
