Are you a Principal Structural Engineer with experience in the buildings sector? Do you have a passion for delivering projects for a variety of clients? At Stantec, we’re proud of our growing, respected Structural Engineering team and we’re looking for a talented Principal Structural Engineer to take a leading role in delivering complex, high‑profile projects across the UK from either our Glasgow or Edinburgh offices. You’ll lead technically challenging projects across multiple sectors while working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment that includes Civil, MEP, Environmental, Energy, and Water professionals. You’ll contribute to building designs spanning Education, Residential, Healthcare, Heritage, Commercial, Logistics, Water and Energy sectors. You’ll benefit from clear progression pathways, professional development support, and the chance to make a tangible impact as we continue to grow our Scotland team.
Degree qualified (BEng/MEng) in Structural or Civil Engineering and Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (or progressing toward chartership) with the IStructE or ICE. Proven experience delivering building‑structure projects across a variety of sectors with strong design, analytical, and problem‑solving skills – both software‑based and by hand, and ideally proficient in the use of Tekla Building Structures. Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and team leadership abilities and an interest in expanding business‑development networks.
