The Business Technology practice is one of the leading CIO & CTO advisory and technology innovation teams in the UK and Europe. Our consultants deliver tangible outcomes across business and IT-oriented environments, working collaboratively with major FTSE 100 and government clients to help them achieve their strategic goals and leverage technology as a key driver of sustainable growth and ambitious change.
Our ITStrategy &Performance team isoneof thefastestgrowingteams in theBusiness Technology practice. We are structured across three core disciplines: (i) Technology Strategy; (ii) IT Cost & Value; and (iii) IT Mergers and Acquisitions.We are seekingConsultantlevelcandidateswith the experience to deliver across our three core disciplines.The idealcandidate will have solid experience in at leastone of our disciplines andauthentic enthusiasm for developing their breadth of skills and knowledge further. You will have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of sectors and projects.
The responsibilities of theConsultantrole in ITStrategy &Performancetypically includes:
Client delivery, owning distinct packages of work, self-organising and prioritising your tasks to deliver on client commitments within complex technology engagements.
Building personal credibility with clients through delivery of outcomes and communication.
Identifyingand communicating potential leads and preparing proposal and sales materials.
Contributing to the development of ourofferings and supporting capability building within the ITStrategy &Performance teamas we grow our offers and offer pipelines.
Developingexpertiseand informed points of viewon emerging technologies and digital capabilities: AI, advanced analytics,cybersecurityand cloud-native architectures-evaluating scalability, interoperability, and alignment with the clientslong-term strategy.
Building broadskillsacross our core disciplines and deepeningexpertisewithin at least one.
As part of your role,you will alsohave the opportunity tocontribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:
Business Development Contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
Internal contribution Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
Learning & development Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.
We are looking for Consultant level candidates who can demonstrate the following:
Consulting experience across Technology Strategy and/or IT Cost & Value.
Evidence ofstrongtrack recorddeliveringwithinDigital Strategy & Transformationprojects and/or technology cost transformation.
Evidence ofdevelopingtechnical and strategicexpertisethat is relevant to our core disciplines, this may include Technology Strategy, Target Operating Model Design, TransformationRoadmapping, Business-IT Alignment, IT Financial Management, Total Cost of Ownership, Application Portfolio Rationalisation, Benchmarking and Optimisation.
Experience inidentifyingreal application of technology to drive value from investments.
Desirable Experience
Proven ability to deliver technology strategy engagements and/or cost and value engagements
Currently working in a consulting firm, and/or in industry with a consulting backgroundor in an internalstrategy function.
Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, andin supporting business development through preparation of proposals and/or client pitches.
Experience ofsupportingproposition(offer)building/development andgrowth.
