Head of Religious Education
Full‑time, permanent position at a secondary school in Luton, starting September 2026.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Religious Education department, ensuring high‑quality teaching and a well‑structured curriculum.
- Drive student attainment and support the professional development of department colleagues.
- Contribute to the wider leadership vision, particularly in promoting the Catholic life of the school.
- Ensure the curriculum aligns with the Religious Education Directory and Key Stage 3 requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of three years’ experience teaching RE across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong understanding of GCSE requirements and the Religious Education Directory.
- Ability to drive student attainment and support the development of colleagues.
- Practising Catholic.
