The Role
As a Senior Estimator, you will be a key part of the pre‑construction team, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for refurbishment projects. This role offers a mix of office‑based work in Brentwood with some flexibility to work from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing cost estimates for Decent Homes and Retrofit projects
- Managing the tender process from initial enquiry through to submission
- Engaging with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations
- Assessing risks and opportunities within each bid
- Working closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
What They’re Looking For
- Proven experience as an Estimator within a main contractor environment
- Strong knowledge of Decent Homes, Planned Maintenance, and Retrofit projects
- Ability to price projects up to £5 million
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in estimating software and Excel
