Overview

Lincolnshire County Council, Public Health Division is currently looking to recruit a Clinical Lead to join their existing team.

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Lead to provide tactical and operational leadership for Health Protection and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) across Lincolnshire. This senior role will lead the Clinical Health Protection function within Public Health, ensuring robust, evidence-based systems are embedded across health, social care and wider partner organisations to protect population health.

About You

You will be a senior clinician with substantial expertise in infection prevention and control, health protection and outbreak management, with a strong track record of leadership, collaboration and system-wide influence.

This is a pivotal role for a motivated leader passionate about protecting population health and strengthening resilience to infectious disease threats across Lincolnshire.

The post holder will work both collaboratively and autonomously using transferable knowledge and skills to help develop and deliver the Health Protection function across Lincolnshire. This involves acting as a catalyst for change in practice and service development. The ideal candidate will be resilient and able to appropriately challenge boundaries to identify innovative solutions that best meet the needs of the service, stakeholders and staff.

The post holder will actively engage in the broader work of the Health Protection Service, provide clinical leadership and guidance across both the Public Health division and wider Council, and will lead or contribute to defined areas of work such as Infection Prevention & Control, Screening & Immunisation, Sexual Health and Substance Misuse.

You should be comfortable in building trusted stakeholder relationships networks in a politically sensitive and/or changing environment with the ability to use effective influencing and negotiation skills in and beyond your own team.

Qualifications

You must have an active NMC registration, and you will be expected to undertake an enhanced DBS check.

There will be an expectation for you to travel and the postholder must have access to a car. Travel expenses will be reimbursed. Professional registration fees can also be recovered.
