Senior Lecturer/Programme Lead for BA Social Work

Job Description

The key duties of the post holder will be to contribute to the teaching, delivery, development, research and administrative support of undergraduate BA Social Work and taught postgraduate programmes, and other related programmes; including the academic and personal support of students. In addition, you will be expected to contribute to the student recruitment and admissions of the Social Work Programmes.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to teaching and delivery of BA Social Work and postgraduate programmes.
• Develop and support administrative aspects of programmes.
• Provide academic and personal support to students.
• Assist with student recruitment and admissions.

Qualifications

• Professional membership/registration in social work and a first degree (preferably a teaching qualification).
• Contemporary experience in social work.
• Commitment to undertaking a PhD.
• Membership of the Higher Education Academy.
• Practical awareness of current developments in social work education.
• Ability to facilitate links between courses and the relevant professional sector.
